The Aescit Corporation (“Aescit”) is an industrial construction service provider, focused on delivering Contractor solutions in the Oil & Gas, Power, Data, Chemical and Manufacturing industries.
Aescit is currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Expeditor to lead with industrial construction project, ensuring construction projects stay on schedule by coordinating permits, materials, subcontractors, inspections, documentation, and communication between stakeholders.
 
Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Expeditor oversees and coordinates the timely flow of materials, documentation, permits, inspections, and project information to support construction operations. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to identify scheduling issues, resolve delays, and ensure projects progress according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Experience in concrete precast materials, as well as rebar fabrication and installation.
  • Track project schedules and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Expedite critical materials, permits, inspections, and approvals to maintain project milestones.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
  • Maintain communication between project managers, field teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Review purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor commitments for accuracy.
  • Coordinate municipal inspections, utility connections, and occupancy requirements.
  • Maintain project logs, reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation.
  • Conduct progress meetings and provide status updates to project leadership.
  • Resolve issues related to material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of construction coordination, expediting, project engineering, or project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction processes.
  • Experience coordinating inspections, procurement, and project schedules.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
  • Combination of active onsite construction office, and remote work from home. Most likely weekly schedule is 4-days onsite, and 1-day remote work.
  • Ability to visit construction sites regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and navigate active construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Regular interaction with contractors, suppliers, inspectors, architects, engineers, and project owners.
  • Occasional travel between multiple project locations.
